Our cuvées
Four expressions of Melon B.
Melon B. is the sole grape variety of Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu. At Haut Bourg, we grow it with respect for traditional practices and our environment. Since 2023, half of our Muscadet vineyard has been certified Organic.
All our wines are aged on fine lees for at least 8 months, and up to 10 years for certain exceptional vintages. Vinified and aged in underground vats, typical of the Nantes vineyard, our cuvées benefit from a naturally stable temperature that preserves their freshness, balance and expression of terroir.
At Haut Bourg, we reveal the full richness of Melon B. through four cuvées shaped by terroir and time. Pavillon expresses the freshness and solar minerality of its red sand and schist, while La Désirée draws from brown schist a pure and deep tension. With Signature, five to six years of aging in underground vats bring aromatic complexity and length on the palate. Finally, Origine, born from our 1944 vines and aged nine years on lees, offers a masterful depth. Four unique personalities to illustrate the grandeur and longevity of our Muscadet.
