Organic farming at the estate
Of the estate’s 33 hectares, nearly a third are farmed according to Organic Farming principles, exclusively dedicated to our white Nantes grape varieties: Melon B. for our Muscadet, Sauvignon and Grolleau Gris for our IGP Val de Loire and Traditional Method wines.
On these plots, we have chosen to prioritise the health of the soil, biodiversity and the natural cycle of the vine.

The terroir
The westernmost vineyard in the Loire Valley.
At Haut Bourg, the vine grows on land profoundly shaped by water. Situated at the heart of the triangle formed by the Loire, Lake Grand-Lieu and the Atlantic Ocean, our vineyard enjoys a singular environment where the influence of water accompanies every plot.
Our terroirs, largely alluvial, are born of this geological history and shaped over time by the movement of water. Sand, gravel and rolled quartz pebbles form a mosaic of soils that offer our vines particular conditions of drainage and freshness. This proximity to water also plays an essential role in our climatic identity. The influence of the Atlantic, the Loire and Lake Grand-Lieu tempers extremes of temperature and accompanies the progressive ripening of the grapes. It thus helps preserve the freshness and tension that characterise our wines.

Our traditional range
Melon B. aged on lees, at the heart of the Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu appellation. Terroir wines, built over time, that carry the singular identity of a vineyard between lake and ocean.
